Re: Rotax 532 powered KR2

Hi Rudix, Wat was die redes vir jou 532 engine out landings? Moet ek RERIG heroorweeg?

Re: Rotax 532 powered KR2

Hennie, onthou net, jy kan nie so ORALS land met n KR, en nog weg stap nie. Tensy jy moerse gelukkig is. Die 532 was maar n so-so enjin toe hy nuut was. Nou is daai enjin oud. Bou vir jou n knortjor vir daai enjin. Spandeer bietjie geld, en sit vir jou KR tjie n 80 hos Jabbie enjin in. Baie beter, ...

Re: Rotax 532 powered KR2

Hi Rudix, You've now flown both the tail & nose dragger version of he KR2. If you had to give me some advice, which version would you prefer. I can still make that change on mine without too much hazzle. Regards, Henni Henni, difficult to say, I found the taildragger easy to fly, and I had no taild...

Re: Rotax 532 powered KR2

Hi Rudix, What happened to your 6 cyl Jabiru engine? Is this not perhaps in the market? If not, do you not perhaps know of any other type of Jabiru engine available at a good price? And yes, we'll fly together again soon and like you say, this time we'll really go places! Like I've said, the South ...

Re: Rotax 532 powered KR2

Hi Rudix, Great to hear from you. Yes, she will definitely fly two up over here most of the time. This time round I'll do much more than fly around the patch only, that's a solemn promise. We intend to visit the Southcoast quite regular. Even if its a small space to be occupied by two adults for ju...

Re: Rotax 532 powered KR2

Hi Henni!

Wow, nice to see you here and even nicer to see you are now a proud KR owner, congratulations!!

As long as you get the CoG right it is going to fly well being so light. I cannot wait to see her flying.

Re: Live Flight Tracking with AirNav Pro

Below is a track of a recent flight where I used the iPad/Airnav Pro displayed on Google Earth, After I landed I could log onto the Airnav server and the track was there! The iPad locks onto the sats just as fast or faster than a Garmin and there were no gaps in the track indicating it never lost th...

Re: Live Flight Tracking with AirNav Pro

Thanks for the feedback Rudi I also purchased AirnavPro & the detailed maps but contemplating getting the 3D EFIS map for Mpumulanga (I assume Rhino Park falls in this map?) I'll probably never use the 3D EFIS terrain functionality but I'm a sucker for gadgets, you think it's worth forking out anot...

Re: Live Flight Tracking with AirNav Pro

I have tried most nav/gps apps for the iPad and I must say for me Airnav Pro works best. I started with the free version (there is more than one version) but upgraded to the "Pro" version for $39 if I remember correctly. Since then I have bought more detailed maps and the detailed terrain database, ...

Re: Posting Problems

Hello, Is the IP address 196.2.126.174 the ones that are experiencing this forbidden message when they go to the URL that you provided? I was able to access the URL without issue which means the site is online and functions, but this does not mean that they are not seeing issues. I tested the IP ad...

Strange!

I just tried to post here using an iPad connected via a wireless router from iBurst and I got the Forbiden message. I then changed the iPad to 3G and the posting works fine!

Re: Posting Problems

I sent you a mail DH. This is posted from a Linux workstation, when I try to post from a Windows 7 laptop I get a PHP "Access denied" message. I do have an idea that it could be IP related, seems my posting problem might only be from iBurst, other ISP's seem to be ok but I need to confirm with a tes...
