Re: TOYZ 4 BOYZ IS ON

Apparently the authorities placed unrealistic obstacles in front of standard conformance. When i questioned why nobody could monitor a hand held just to advise on vacate and parking, was advised any ATC advisory and the show would be stopped. Doesn't make sense. What other issues hindered such a ste...

Re: Fire extinguisher in a trike - current legislation

Consensus was that it being obviously impractical to position a fire extinguisher in an accessible place let alone operate it in flight, it would be beneficial to have one in the pannier bag in case on of your buddies has an incident on the ground and you are able to offer assistance.

Once saw a Google Earth overlay with all restricted areas well marked in a 3D overlay. Simply track your mouse over an area you are interested in going to and it shows vertical heights in colour.

Re: Xenon RST Mast pics 01 August

I enjoy your posts. You remind me of an incident where I was returning a bicycle I bought for my son. I asked if they cant rather offer me a better quality high end thing that won't break and the owner shook his beard counting out the refund notes "Please mister, I will never carry the stock you des...

Re: Foam or rubber sleeves for flying bar

Go to Sportsman's warehouse and buy the cricket bat handle colour of your choice. Apply thin layer of Sunlight dishwasher to apply and should replace within 40 min. they only last about 2 years though.

Re: Suspicious microlight over Rietvlei rhinos

I suggest an out- of -town pilot unfamiliar with the severity of the situation. Easy for a pilot not familiar with local etiquette - radio calls referring to beacon references instead of visual land marks, airstrips using unconventional frequencies, sensitive chicken farms, game farms not highlighte...

Zeerust FAZR runway and hangars?

Hi all, Considering flying over to Zeerust next Tuesday and departing Thursday afternoon- the Amarok sprit of Africa Challenge, if I can get credible info on the runway condition, possible use of some hangar space for a Sling or the availability of renting a guard? Any assistance mostly appreciated.
