Skygod and I have written it because SACAA did not get around to it. ........ I don't make the law, but I would like to see if we can get a better working solution, and send a proposal to CARCOM (Civil Aviation Regulatory Committee) Okay now I am confused. By writing it, you are suggesting what the...

So only people against so far! Some Pros about Autolube- Correct mix is delivered at all times. PreMix is set for full power, so at anything less is too rich. Shorter Shelf life of mixed fuel Less carbon build up Can almost refuel anywhere - no need to carry pre-mix or fuel can on long journeys.

If I remember correctly, there was an investigation by the CAA into the Jabiru a while back. They did the investigation based on claims of certain owner(s). Report at CAA Website The CAA report that came out, was favourable to Jabiru. Maybe a case that they may well just be struggling to shake of th...

If I can maybe hazard a guess as to what 150 is trying to get across is: Assume that all the other licences such as Air Service are all in place. RPL with Part 96 autho can earn money. PPL needs full Com to do same - CPL. RPL has to do very little compared to CPL to get to earning status. Is this eq...

I really don't think that an aircraft or microlight will break up in mid air with some turbulance. I beg to differ. It of course depends on the turbulance. There was a fatality many years ago, where a pilot flying in the Magalies area had a complete strutural failure of the wing. The conclusion of ...

Thought I would provide some feedback after my inhibiting exercise. I purchased two 60ml syringes from the local chemist to assist with the injection of raw 2 stroke into the carbs whilst the engine was running. I filled both syringes with oil and had a silicon tubing running from the syringe into t...

Had two 582's that I cracked about two weeks apart. One with 150 hours and the other just over 300 hours. The 300 hour one had used a green mix, which I believe now to be a cheap offering at Midas and branded with the Midas colours. It mixes 3:1. There was not a single scale or deposit in the water ...

Was also thinking, would it choke it down sufficiently if you were to manually open the oil pump all the way, at idle?

Do you have to evenly inject two stroke into each inlet, or can you inject and choke via one inlet?

Inhibiting a 582

What is the correct procedure to inhibit a two stroke motor? Motor will be very close to the ocean for about six weeks and will not be started in that time.

Does one just remove the airfilter and inject two stroke oil while it is running and choke it down?
