Re: FAPX Paradise to Pyramid done and dusted.

Thanks David, all true and thanks for sharing your valuable experience with us. Local knowledge is very valuable and never be shy to ask, even phone ahead to your towers you will be passing and familiarize yourself on what to expect from them when you arrive or entering and passing their airspace. I...

Re: My CAA RAMP INSPECTIONS

Without trying to re-invent the wheel,I made up this simple Ramp Inspection List for Myself, Use it or Don`t use it. It is a Worksheet , so you can add or take thing off as you like ;-) 1.) Aircraft registration certificate. 2.) ATF Authority To Fly--Valid 3.) Pilot license and Medical certificate--...

Re: A Beautiful Adventure (escaping the patch)

Massimo well done! That was just the warm-up trip. Now you know what to expect and plan accordingly. Read my post http://www.microlighters.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25125&p=234643#p234643 . I will put my plans up hear in time to come. The Idea is to keep the planning very loosely as I fly, day to da...

Re: FAPX Paradise to Pyramid done and dusted.

Such a trip is also on my wish list for 2016. Do you already have a route in mind? I will start at Jeffreys Bay then work my way down the Coast past Still Baai, then towards Cape Town way, then up the West Coast, do Tankwa, to the WestCoast again and then RichtersVeld. I want to do a Circle route. ...

Re: FAPX Paradise to Pyramid done and dusted.

Nice Slabfish. Thanks for sharing your trip. Cross country is always a challenge. Deon enjoy your new baby. I must admit that I was getting a bit slack with flying, especially after just flying around the cabbage patch for the last couple of years. But after this flight I feel a re newed need to do...

Re: FAPX(Paradise Beach)-WingsPark-MargaCatoRidge-VryheidPyr

Thanks guys, I had some calls with help offered right up to Vryheid. I might just need some help with the weather and actual condition from Durban inland and towards Nelspruit side. I am very familial with the coastal weather systems but the inland weather with the heat and turbulence could catch me...

Re: FAPX(Paradise Beach)-WingsPark-MargaCatoRidge-VryheidPyr

Got one reply, either the forum is dead or our fellow pilots don`t really care to help. Not being sarcastic, just a bit disappointed in the response. On the other hand, I have always been ready to help from my side of the world and will continue to do so ;-) So if anybody needs help in J Bay-FAPX, f...

Jora has been sold to a friend at Barberton and I am doing the delivery.
Any phone numbers of friendlies on the the way will help.
