Re: Pylon Racing
There was an initiative to encourage trikes and others to do the Pylon racing at Parys but I think only Grant and Barry pitched, so the record belongs to the GT's. Scully was very keen to encourage more and participates with thorough briefings and even offers a skilled pilot to fly with a few times,...

Re: Reward / Beloning R10 000
I think Blue Max was referring to the inept CAA officials. I've heard some AMO horror stories trying to get Client's aerries airborne and no money would get me involved in that industry.

Re: Flying with a foot in your mouth!
On the first matter of flying with a foot in your mouth; Some okes are so intent in living up to their self- appointed status that they are above what counts for the rest of us and throw tantrums and comments around without fear of reprisal or accountability. His comment of 'get your act together' h...

I'll be waving from Peter Pan beach, just north of TO Strand. Check out the nudie beach, last inspection was very disappointing.

Re: Advice on Legal Matter
My layman opinion; As long as you don't offer a professional flying service, in other words, on your job description it should not be stated that you are obligated to fly, particularly specific functions like dawn fence patrols. Have you replaced a previously paid professional flying service? Make s...

Garmin 296 battery dead
Does anyone know where to get a replacement battery for the Garmin 296? Mine dies the minute I remove auxiliary power.
I remember reading a topic where you can 'boost' the battery using an old Eveready PM 9 but now that its mine, a bit sceptical.

Re: RAASAs arbitrary&inconsistent interpretation of regulat
You seem to have more drama with Raasa and the rest of us combined. I have had only pleasant dealings with them and they provide a much more efficient and helpful service than you could ever get from CAA.
Long may I continue.

Re: Your Flying Videos
If that GT came in slower and just waited for the dogs and beach walkers to vacate the hard wet sand rather than so high he would have been OK. Think he was posing too much for the perfect shot.
