Re: SAGPA AGM 2010

Hi Condor

I will be back in the country then and will be there. I must just check to make sure my SAGPA membership is paid up. I don't recall receiving an invoice this year.

Re: ITS ALIVE!

Hi All Just to update you, everything has been done with my M24 and the plan is to convert and ferry it to Kitty this coming Friday. Hopefully there will not be a cloudburst or anything like that to delay things any further. JetRanger, when do you anticipate doing your conversion? I know it is a bit...

Re: AFB Waterkloof Fly-inn

Hi Old No 7

What a lovely aircraft. I had heard a rumour that you had acquired a M22 and now I trust you will have many happy hours in her.

On my M24, the plan is to convert and ferry it back to Kitty this coming Friday. I just hope that no further obstacles like cloudbursts delay it.

Re: ITS ALIVE!

Hi Len

I am a bit ahead of you then, mine is ZU-RFR. Test flying has begun (I think) so it should not be long now.

Re: Survived Engine Out this morning.

Hi All Len, well done although I must point out that you are an instructor. I can imagine all your present and past students grinning and thinking "Physician, heal thyself". Wagtail, what you say is very interesting. Am I correct then in assuming that in a Magni, once the flydat goes, the pilot had ...

Re: I really have to share this picture

Hi All I have read about these props but have never really seen one. Apparently they were developed in Australia in the late 1920's and early 1930's for use in survey aircraft flying in the Gibson desert. The desert, being largely featureless, played havoc with navigation and the aircraft themselves...

Re: Xenon Gyro

Hi Jetranger I also thought that it looked a lot like the Sycamore but with the stabiliser turned upside down. I would not swap the M24 and, hopefully I may even get to fly it one day. One way of looking at it is that each day that passes is a day closer to certification :-) It does help that the we...

Re: Xenon Gyro

Hi Braam

If it can be brought in at 40 000 Euros then I am sure that it will be a winner.

It looks good and it is enclosed which is a plus for me (at my age I prefer cars to motor bikes). Is there any indication of when it will be available?

Re: Safety

Hi Gyrosa This is just a very short note. Firstly, you need not worry about me thinking that you are trying to "knock" me. I know that you are not and I also know where you are coming from and where you are trying to get to. I think that this particular problem will need a lot of thought before anyt...

Re: Safety

Hi All I don't want to put a dampener on things but I do suggest that someone check the legalities first. One thing that springs to mind is the suspension of a licence. This can only be done by a responsible authority being RASA or the CAA (I am not sure which yet but suspect that it is the issuing ...

Re: Minimum Specs

Hi All

It is astounding what difference in price the engine makes

Not too long ago I remember seeing a Magni M18 (single seater) and am fairly sure that it had a small (not a 114 or 112) Rotax engine so perhaps the BMW engine is a viable option, particularly at that price.

Congratulations Jabi & Mariska.

I hope he goes to the field to sleep and not fly Mak, DUO is very well instrumented but she doesn't have an autopilot - yet.
