Hangerage in Cape town area
Hi all
After a long dramas getting ZU-DNP flying again after it was standing for a couple of years, I need somewhere to put it. It is at Fisantekraal and the ATF is just in, so Louis wants it out his hangar ASAP. I have temporary hangar at Morningstar but looking for something permanent.

Getting back in the air
Hey all, after a brief stint in Namibia home is Cape Town again. My log book is buried in the moving boxes, but I think it has been 2.5 years since my last flight and probably 4 years since my last check flight. What is the minimum requirmnet to get my wings back? I dug up a thread that said 5 years...

Re: Trikes along the Big Bay Beach (Cape Town)
Built up or not - its illegal to fly 50ft off the ground ANYWHERE unless you landing - ESPECIALLY over a nature reserve. Yeah sure, 10 x dogs walking on the beach at the same time as 10 x 4x4 vehicles or quads will destroy more plant, bird and sea life in, and under the sand than a 4x4 .. NOT!!! ##...

Re: Trikes along the Big Bay Beach (Cape Town)
The area north of Big Bay is not built up. Or at least last I checked... But It does fall in the Blaauberg Nature Reserve area, while that has always been a grey area as it is not on the aviation maps. But being a Nature reserve his dogs should be on a leash. I personally believe that dogs do more w...

Re: Old Microlights - Do they just fade away?
I have very fond memories of the Mac-CDL. In fact my first light aviation flight was in one. As an aviation mad youth my folks splashed out for a flight in one for my 13th birthday. Beforehand I was thinking a Pitts Special would be more my speed. After the introductory flight at Fisantekraal I bega...

Re: Bank and turn indicator
Just a thought here. But a weightshift should always have the indicator at the bottom. If it is not you are in a very serious situation!!

Re: Old Microlights - Do they just fade away?
Maybe someone should ask the existing aviation museums if they want to open a microlight section... possibly the EAA can join in. I recently saw an episode of American Pickers where they arrived as the US EAA Museum... Massive.

Thanks Dunesand!! After posting my first message I did some digging and discovered the forum has a Namibian Microlight insider. I was going to bother you when I had more solid information.

Temp export of microlight to Namibia.
So looks like I might be transferred to Namibia. OPeration near Otjiwarongo for a few years. And I am keen to actually be able to fly for a change. Work has kept me out of the skies for over 6 months now!! What would I need? New Pilots licence? New ATF? Register in namibia? This is a first pass to s...

Re: Advice please.
Hey there. I think all the Cape Town crowd are trying not to think about flying until the weather clears. Where about in Cape Town are you? There are several options. Morningstar is the most active area, Olivia Savile @ 021 801 4406 or Bobby Heimann @ 083 250 8849 Morningstar Flight Academy. They ca...
