Re: Building the new Bushbaby SAFARI

It is sad to announce that Carel van Aswegen builder and the designer of the Vansin passed away this morning. This closes a chapter in the history of aviation, I regard myself very privileged to be the owner of this wonderful aircraft.

Carel rest in peace

We all honor you in admiration

Re: Building the new Bushbaby SAFARI

Hi Mac The BMW is very smooth almost turbine smooth but a two cylinder will always be more impulse prone then a four cyl and the flat apposed 6 cyl is the smoothest of them all. Then if you change the silencer you have a new resonance box like a guitar box and for us privateers we can only build and...

Re: Building the new Bushbaby SAFARI

Have test flown the new exhaust , viewing the test results on the MGL Black Box Viewer I had no loss in power changing to the new silencer I also added the tailpipe ad on . I will have to check the exhaust for cracking with more hours to come. The resonances and vibrations are high and the proof of ...

Re: Building the new Bushbaby SAFARI

Having some free time to play and also play with ZU-OTT. I'm having a wonderful time fine tuning the Stratomaster . The Aerie is turbine smooth and I can come home and study on the SD card all the parameters of the flight. I have tried to group the oil temps together and also the power graphs. The M...

Re: Building the new Bushbaby SAFARI

Hi eagletrike the EboXi is available and we make them on request. The paperwork has now been more formalized so that in field installations can be done more easily. We have had a lot of feedback from users and we could see where people not deeply involved with the wiring etc have a mis conception. B...

Re: Building the new Bushbaby SAFARI

Thanks Boet and to all sharing in my long stretched out paperwork. I must say that although the loading of the wing was unnecessary because it was done in Komatipoort actually witnessing such a load gives a lot of respect for the original design and I can see the reason why no aircraft of this famil...
