Re: Earning of a Call Sign.
WarGames lad, you have been quiet lately whaaasssup ??/ - nope Hare is the real surname.... vhpy Not much. Popcorn and Coke. You know the drill. I voted for Dish so by the way, two name changes will be too much to handle. For some reason can't remember your previous nickname. Sure looks like quite ...

Re: Earning of a Call Sign.
Not to stir, and I must add that I have never met Dish, but couldn't help to notice that he was introduced on this thread as "Chris Hare".
I would just like to know whether that is his real surname, or is that a nickname coming from "Hare tussen die tande" pointing to the nickname proposed?

Courchevel approach was listed on discovery program as one of the 10 most dangerous approaches in the world. Most dangerous was lukla airport in Nepal. Only 460m long with gradient of 12%. Landing uphill, taking off downhill. Altitude is 9100ft. When you take off, you go downhill and then th...

Re: Engine Problems!
This sounds to me like fuel starvation.
My first look would be at the breather valve in the tank. Does it get air in, or does your engine suck the fuel out until you have a nice vacuum inside your tank. That would cause the symptoms that you are describing.

Re: License on own trike
If I am not mistaken, you will also have to register the plane in the schools name for the duration of the training? This statement is not correct. Trike can be in your name. But ATF must be done before you can train on it. On the ATF the AP must state that it is for owner training and the school A...

Re: BEREKENIG VAN DRAVERMOë VAN VLIEGTUIG
Hi Leon,
Gompou is korrek. In teorie is 1 US Gallon = 6lbs.
Al die data wat jy nodig het sal jy kry in die pilot operating manual. Hulle berekenings is gewoonlik gedoen op max gewig en op sekere krag stelling.
Hoop dit help.

Contact number for Comet Aviation Supplies
Hi Guys,
Been trying the whole morning to get hold of comet at +27 (0)11 824-3368. For some reason they are not answering the call.
Do anybody know of an alternative number to call?

Dirk

If he also uses pre-mix. He should use the same filter.
If he has a auto lube system, he can use the same filter, or anything with similar flow rate.

Just dont fly close to the boundary. There is still a lot of traffic in that area on the wrong frequency. If you have dual watch, check them both to be safe.

Re: I AM CONFUSED!!!!!
You are actually supposed to re-validate your WCM license after 1 year as well, only there after 2 years. It is something that is the case with a ppl as well. It is just to see that you are still safe and didn't teach yourself some bad habits after you got your license. I do understand you question,...

Re: PPL hours towards COM?
Hi guys, This is most probably going to be stupid questions, but need some answers: 1. If an aircraft is registred in the LSA category, will the hours flown on this aircraf by a PPL pilot count towards his COM licence or must the hours be on a registred light aircraft? 2. If I had a MPL licence tha...
