Re: Gauteng Weather

We had lots of thunder earlier this evening. No rain yet though. Looks like the Weather people may just get it right for a change.

Re: Hanglider Tug/Towing - Help!

I have heard the it used to be done at Bapsfontein a few years back, with a dolly, as John said.
Aparently it was stopped due to the high number of accidents.
Larry at Bapsfontein may have some information.

Re: Triker looking for a new home

Garry from Panorama called me today. He has a hanger available to rent.
The usual steel type with shade cloth doors. I'll go and take a look on friday afternoon.
Sounds like there is a good club following too.

Re: Triker looking for a new home

Live in Edenvale. I was looking for a field out Midrand way, but havn't managed to find much. I had my eye on summit, but I hear they only have "t" hangers and are too low for the king post. Doesn't sound like a trike community. Rhino Park has a shortage of hangers at the moment. (they are building ...

Re: Field for RC Pilots

i think that, should there be any incident, unless it is a Samaa registered model aircraft field, yo may be in a touch of trouble.
You can try barnstormers in Kempton Park. There is also a nice one in the south of JHB near panorama. I have seen them fly turbines from there.

Re: Google Earth - Airfields

Kokoriba

S25 21.420
E027 36.540

Runway 15-35
Frequency 124.8

Sorry, I dont have any pics.

Nice place to fly to. Some of the guys in our group complained that their GPS's didn't function properly in the area. The runway is to the east of the dam, and not to easy to spot behind the trees.

Triker looking for a new home

Hi guys,

I'm looking to find a new home base in the gauteng area. Does anyone know where hangers are available at an active trike field?
