Re: SPOT personal sat trackers
I will do that. Its just a pity it is GSM. You will be surprised where there is no cel reception once you are out of the usual areas... I did a precautionary on a beach up the west coast once, and with no functioning PTT, and no cel coverage I was v.happy when the engine started.

Re: Fuel Flow Meter
I have MGL and appart from the fuel flow... the incorperated programable fuel level sender is a god send. especially on our wonky shaped tanks. Once calibrated the fuel shown is what is in the tank.

I splashed out on the airmagic wireless PTT. No wire from pod to bar anymore:) Its not what I would call a necessary upgrade but I am happy to be rid of another wire.

Re: The Danger of the Whipstall
If in an improper power-off stall recovery and the bar is pulled back too far and fast you can enter a whip stall . Hi, Negative on the "whip stall" in this scenario. Rather you could induce a forward tumble which would also be fatal. Regards John N ???? Ah, true getting my fatal senarios mixed up...

Re: The Danger of the Whipstall
Geez John, you can say that again. That clip is damn scary stuff. When doing precautionary landings/runway inspections, I have developed the habit of flying very low over the target area with high engine power and the bar in. IE lots of speed while maintaining my height. I have done this because I ...

I get spruce goose bumps everytime someone mentions or I see a pic. The story behind it is even more inspiring. Its is a pity it never flew (besides a "fast taxi" ). Sad to see a plane not flying.

I have also noticed a big speed difference between the relaxed and upright position. I often sit upright as its easier to survey the lesser earthbound mortals from that position. I was wondering how much was due too my body being full on into the slipstream and how much was the change in attitude of...

Mosselbay... the most temperate climate in South Africa. Fishing is good. From what I hear its developed and there are lots of shops. Its becoming popular with people who do not have to live where they work.
