Re: HOW TO DRAIN 2 STROKE

Pinch the pipe closed with a vise-grip and remove the worm clamp from the bottom most fitting. Pull the pipe off from the fitting. Put the end of the pipe into a suitable container, remove the cap from the filler bottle bottle and release the vise-grip. Go and have a cup of tea.................how ...

Re: Justin's Raven

Hi Justin, I removed my VW engine from my Raven after engine failure. (detonation) So, if you want to rebuild your engine and need spares (casings, baffles, etc) then mine is available as I won't follow the VW route again... I am currently installing a low hour 582 engine, as the performance figures...

Re: 582 silver top Octane and jets

I had a 582 Blue Top and flying it with 165 jets at the coast with EGTs spot on. We have only 95 available at the coast and Rotax recommends unleaded, so I won't opt for LRP... I would say that the jet size must be determined by the EGT temp. If too low, downsize the jet, otherwise you only burn unn...

Re: AP Criteria

Hi KFA,

thanks for the info. It sounds like a mouth full, but so be it.

I am in the process of building my own aircraft and more will follow soon. Does a person's technical qualification/s also play a role?

AP Criteria

Good day,

I am fairly new to the aviation community and would like to know how the process works for becoming an AP.

* What are the requirements?
* Any specific courses and exams?
* Who are the relevant contact person/s that I should speak to?

I appreciate your input.

Regards

Jacques
