Morph,

My MXII might just be sold to C205 & that's my urgency for finding something sligthly more sophisticated at an affordable price rather soon.

Hi Rooikat, On your list, the ease to fly should be as follows: 1. MXII - Very stable and easy to fly. Not too fast so you cannot really go places. 2. Skyfox - Easy to fly. Slighly faster, full 3-axis with long range fuel tanks as standard. 3. TBird - Very, very strong aerie, but I believe does not ...

Hi Duck,

That must surely be the best looking Skyfox I've ever seen!

Hi BigD, Yup, that's mine. I bought it for a good price, but I'll let go for same if (and ONLY if) I can find a good Skyfox at a good price. My other choice would be the Tbird, but they sell for more that I'm willing to spend right now. My wife is not keen on flying and that speaks for itself. Havin...

Hi Morph,

I know Phillip well - he's got one in spares only right now. We've discussed the possibilities, but it's still a long way off from being completed.

Not good for me, I want to fly, not build. I've got too many partially completed projects at home as is.

Thanks anyway,

Hi all.

Does anyone know of a decent Skyfox that's for sale anywhere in the country? The one in Parys have been sold in the mean time.

Agent, you said that there are many of them collecting dust at your airfield - do you know if any might be up for sale?

Hi, You're welcome to look at mine. Total time = 170hours High Thrust conversion Wheel breaks Fairing Seat & Prop covers Full instrumentation Price: R35K The only reason I would sell is to purchase a Skyfox if still available. I'm having a tremendous ammount of fun with my MXII at this stage. If you...

Hi Dieselfan, Yes, the wings and everything else is covered with dacron. Weight as off the shelve should be around 252lbs as 254lbs used to be the limit for USA microlights back then. A fairing and instruments will add to this figure though. On my 20 litre tank. I'll get around 2 - 2.25 hours alone,...

Not practical to diss/assemble on a regular basis. Believe me, I've done this many times when I was younger and much more keen to fly - it is a lot of work, nothing less than one hour each time. The wings cannot fold and if you remove the wings, you HAVE to remove the tail section also. I would not ...

Hi everyone, Thank you for your replies. However, I will never promote flying in strong gusty wind conditions. What is a common thing for one pilot (i.e regular engine out situations) is a death sentence for another. My only point is that the older type of 3-axis microlights are just as capable toda...

Cheers Morph - I stayed in Saldanha for nearly 4 years, so I know what you're talking about. Definitely not the ideal wheather for microlight flying!

It did permanently cure me from complaints about windy days though.

Morph, I cannot agree with you on the windless days! I've flown MXII's in winds that guys would not fly their blik aeries, and that's without ailerons! In Ngodwana the hanglider guys told me: When you guys put away your microlights because of the wind, we fly our hangliders. Well, one strong wind da...

Hi, Now THAT's what I would like to fly. Nearly bought one in Parys the other day, but the wife would not bite for another purchase in such a short time and I'm afraid if I first sell mine that by that time the Skyfox might not be available anymore. Just out of interest, how much faster is it? What ...

Hi,

Thanks, unless someone suggests something closer to home, I'll see you over the weekend.
