Re: Going to AFB Ysterplaat tomorrow!

Yeah Ross, to hear that four Rolls Royce Griffon engines firing up, must have been one hell of an experience. And boy, would I love to hear that. Last time I saw a Shackleton flyin', was nearly 20 years ago and the roar of those engines, oh I would give my left nut to hear that again. Hope you have ...

Re: Sorry Morph

Yeah, I also remember watchin' Morph and the abominable snowman, in the afternoons on the tellie. Can't even remember how old I was, but it was a cool show and for that period the animation with Morph ( which was made out of clay if I'm correct ) was just ways ahead of its time. Come to think of it,...

Re: Storm at Lazer

So sad to see that someones dream lies shattered on the ground. My condolences to those that are affected by this terrible storm. This also couldn't have come at a worse time now with this financial turmoil and not a lot of people with much spare money lying around and this will probably mean the en...

Re: Morning Star Earthquake? ;-)

Don't worry, it's just an ingenious plan of the provincial traffic department ( Die bose geeste langs die pad  ) to get the aeries also on the weighbridge and check for overloading :?: . And beware if you're reverse light only works when you reverse. You might just get a hefty fine  .

Re: All done!!!

Congrats! It took me also a long time to finish my lisence. Personal problems and work obligations and ($$) ($$) ($$) . But everytime I saw an aerie passing by, I had the overwhelming desire to be in the air again, and soon. And now I have withdrawal symptoms everyday that I don't fly (**) (**) . Ho...

Re: Bushbaby in Richardsbay

If I have enough money and the only plane available is a Bush Baby, I will buy one. If there is something else like a Savannah, a 601, a Titan Tornado or maybe a C-42 Ikarus I will probably buy one of them. But  , then said: I always seems to buy the wrong stuff with the money I have....
