Circus Airfield

Anyone knows how I can contact Russel Bird from Circus airfield?

I left several messages on his cell over a couple of days with no success.....

Maybe he is out of the country? Just hope he is OK

Paul.

Re: Opinion on cheetah - owners preferably

Guys in terms of short field ability? AT MAUW and in the lowveld at 1700 ft altitude(Tzaneen) will I be able to operate from say a 500m field?. I could possibly squeeze 700m worth of runway in there. Brian Young at Pyramid airfield in the Baberton area has a 582 Cheetah that he uses for training. T...

1) big cockpit (I'm a wide boy ) Exactly the reason why I switched to the Cheetah from the Savannah. Not very nice to force your hand between your legs to get hold of the flaps and when you are already squashed sideways in the cockpit the brakes on the rudder are extremey difficult to operate. Espe...

ATF at 300 plus HRS

Took all the papers to the CAA and got the ATF without any hassles. In fact the people were very friendly and I was even asked if there was anything else I would ...

Parachute

or just fit a parachute dudes!
This whole tragic accident made me think about fitting a parachute.

Does anyone know about (or had first hand experience of) an incident where a parachute actually saved the lives of the pilot and pax?

What if the pilot was fatally hit and the pax was a non-pilot? What if the engine was hit and the plane crashed? I can only hope that this was somehow a freak acc...
