Re: THE MICROLAND THREAD..."routing for the tower"

Sounds like a good idea but I will believe it when I see it. (**) We can not even get okes (Stef and new pilots excluded) together to fly to Nylstroom or Secunda or Sibaka and you want to got to Potties!! Make it somewhere after the school holiday in Oct and I am in.

We can convert yourRaptor wing to topless for about R15,000 - R17,000.
I think it is a fair price.
What will my cruising speed be with the conversion to topless?
The time has come to make the RED RAPTOR topless.

Anyone got a phone number for Jenya? The Aerossa website does not work.

Re: THE MICROLAND THREAD..."routing for the tower"

Bundy/Batleur ... I would like to take a flight to Klip sometime, maybe fly ML - Heidelberg - Klip/Circus and back. Get a bit boring flying the usual flips, Rhino, Cullinan, Dam. The Vulture Squadron is flying to Kokoriba for the long weekend in August. Come and do a lekker 2 hour cross country wit...

Re: Engen se boude!

Got petrol in my diesel Polo twice. Shell and Engen both carried the cost. I contacted head office and did not bother with the owner/manager. All they needed was my slip.

Re: THE MICROLAND THREAD..."routing for the tower"

Caught up with Stef and Paul on my way back from Nylstroom this morning.

Was actually a bit sad to fly back "home" with my flying buddy of many years , Astrix, going the other way to his new home. I am sure he will feel right at home between the Potties manne.

Re: Stolen 582 Engines

Any person with half a mechanical brain would have taken a screwdriver with. Sounds to me like the thieves did not have a screwdriver: a- cut through the carb rubbers, did not loosen the clamp; b- did not even take the top cover off the carb, could have "harvested" most of the carb; c- ripped the co...

Re: Stolen 582 Engines

If they needed the engine, why leave the carburetors? Spares maybe? Scrap metal more likely!! I think the prop was just coincidence.

Re: It is official: Asterix is moving to Polokwane

I also got a plane back from a manufacturer that could not even take off but was "test flown". Not the same one as in the rest of the thread.

Point is: have your plane checked by an experienced test pilot when it comes back from repair before you fly it.
