Re: Hirth F30

Nevertheless Hirth is a German company and I am a German living in Germany, almost anything I hear about the stronger Hirth engines is bad reports. Especially when it comes to the new engines with fuel injection. They also have the reputation of not being too accommodating. Initially I thought that...

Re: Justin's Raven

Hi Boet, Leaving assembly out of the equation, which should be done correctly but seldom is done correctly as witnessed by engines that kak before they have time to develop other problems, I asked because if your baffling system had run 1000 hours on a VW conversion it would prove how effective it i...

Re: Hirth F30

Here you will find the F30 models and specs and prices. http://www.recpower.com/f302c11.htm Just on a personal note, I would choose the fan cooled model, that way I know it will be cooled properly, because the factory designed the cooling system and secondly the life of the engine will be longer. Ki...

Re: Justin's Raven

Thanks Boet,

Thanks for the pics, very neat installation, no air is wasted there.

What is the highest number of hours achieved on an engine with your cooling baffles before the heads needed a valve job.

Kind regards,

Gunter Rostek.

Re: TOYOTA YARIS ENGINE

Hi Boet, Engine is 187Lbs divided by 2.2 equals 85 Kg. 100 Hp Rotax ULS is still only 63 5 Kg with all attachments so the aim will be to lose as close to 17 Kg as possible. Negative is you will replace some weight with the redive. What type of belt do you plan on using Toothed type or Polyvee type. ...
