If you don't come right in Mossel Bay or Oudtshoorn, you might want to try the private field in Rheenedal which is close to Knysna, I know a few microlight pilots based in George fly from there.

I passed my exams about 18 months ago using the Swales Mock Exam application to test myself. They worked brilliantly for me and I still use them to make sure I have not forgotten all my theory. But I am puzzled why no-one mentioned them - are they no longer valid?

I am fascinated by trimming leading edge forward. I looked at my Raptor manual and did not see anything there but I may have missed it. Can you give a bit more detail on what it does?

I have always been fascinated by this aircraft as it is at the leading edge of efficient flying. I see in Wiki they quote a Lycoming O-235 but would like to believe that a Rotax powerplant would make it even more efficient. Do you have an engine in mind? Will follow this story with interest.

I did not know about this place and it sounds like a nice option. I fly out of Pano and so far generally go out to Parys for breakfast, I am also keen to use it as a breakfast venue if they allow. We have been talking at the club about arranging a flight to Chrissiemeer as an overnight stop.
