Which GPS and mounting bracket

Howzit guys I need to buy me a GPS. I reckon I only need a very plain one to guide me back to the place with the hangers when I'm lost. Have looked at a few. Garmin GPS60 looks good. Just kinda worry about where and how to mount it, seeing that Garmin do not really cater for microlights. Help me out...

This is like saying that it is cheaper to rent a "wife for the night" than it is to actaully have one. Off course it is, however - Having your own airy/bird is just different. You said it yourself - It's an emotional thing. I am solo on my own plane and unlike the other student-okes I don't really h...

Buchus - I struggled like hell to land properly. One of my instructors told me to pull in the bar in right against my chest when descending and look far ahead when landing. To me this didn't work. Airspeed was too high (65mph on Safari with hangin point in the middle.) I then flew with a different i...

A leap of faith

5 Flying hours and about 3 weeks ago my instructor said to me “Dave, you are ready to go solo” – These instructors sure are crazy, expecting you to go it alone after a mere 20 hours and only about 300 landings!! I mean really, what does he know after all?, he has only been flying ...

Never knew you flew a Safari? I fly an Aquilla 582. What would the diffs be between them?
Not much difference. I think Aquilla is more attractive but my Safari climbs like a far*t in the bath!

Diesel wrote Why did God give us legs To control the throttle Diesel! I was up there this morning again too. 10kt wind from the North but as you say it was constant and not gusty. Did you guys go above cloud? We did - Pretty awesome view from up there (PS: Don't try this if there aren't enough "hole...

I'm not sure what frequency we were on, all I know is that we have to fly within a "fenced" in area and we changed freq when entering it, the map has all these big "RESTRICED" areas? Do they shoot you down when you go over it? Restricted area is because Microworld and Petit are so close to Jhb Inte...

it was AWESOME and bloody windy Diesel: I was up there this morning too about 5km from where you were flying - Reckon we were flying towards the same tower (North West from your airfield?) - Think I heard your instructor on frequency 125.4. Was a little bumpy, I agree, but learning to fly in wind i...

Great news Diesel!! do I actually get to control the ML? Yip - Your instructor will probably ask you to try and fly straight over a line object on the ground - Sounds easy but apparantly nobody ever gets it right the first time, including me. Also, don't worry if you clench the bar so hard that your...

I fitted it to the pylon tube just behind my passenger,s head and I would also like to know how other ML,s feel about the positioning of the chute. I am unable to fit it below the engine as I have the radiator mounted there and am reluctant to fit it below the seat on the boom as I feel there may b...

Just had my GRS installed. Quite a smack on the cash flow but those end-of-the-month Salti Cracks are starting to taste damn fine after reading Mc Guyver's story. Thanks for sharing man
