Re: Picking your registration number

You either take what they give you or you pay R2500 and get to choose(depending availability as you say) and in the choose regs you are not allowed to pick ZS-R or ZU-R unless it is a rotor wing aircraft.

Re: Farewell Henk...

RIP. How strange - we have lost 2 aviators the same way this year. Looks like it is more dangerous to be standing next to the road than to fly.

Re: Possibly NO flying for microlights during World Cup

Durning every one of the Shield excersises and also the last one we had SSC and FAC and flew fine with no transponder. And yes it said it's required on every AIC so far. So I doubt that they would change that for the real thing. As long as you don't want to fly real close to the stadiums I doubt it ...

Very nice and I don't know people that loves animals as much as these people. Brand new and the accomodation and care is 5 star. http:...

Re: Leaded or Lead replacement fuel - VW motor

Unleaded fuel burns faster and at a slightly higher temperature than leaded fuel. The Lead in leaded fuel basically also formed a deposit on the valve seat that 'cushioned' the seat to a degree. This means that engines designed to run on leaded really only has one main difference and that is an exha...

Re: Flying Ravens - Trim forces?

Just a couple of things I must say. Use the RC servo and I honestly have no problem with doing that as I also would not pay R2000 for a trim servo. There are several different versions of RC servos and there are some serious ones being used on the large scale models. Those have metal gearboxes and I...

Re: Cobra with Toyota Yaris 1NZ motor :

I guess we all have our personal likes and dislikes and it is exactly gotech's blocked rpm tuning software that I HATE. You often end up tuning the wrong block not realising the engine ain't in the block you are tuning. I like to see the entire map in front of me and the numbers make more sense to m...

Re: Pioneer dualstar

Weather has been keeping us on the ground and then I went and kicked off the Pitot tube pipe on the back of the instrument. All fixed and will be flying again as soon as the weather palys with. She is a very gentle thing and the other day the wind was blowing so that I had to land cross the runway a...
