Re: Lycoming O-290 Engine Parts Wanted
I'm looking for Pistons, Rings and Cylinders. Yes I agree these parts are very difficult to get hold of , I've been looking for the past one and half months but with no luck so If I don't come right soon, I guess the next step would be to upgrade to a O-300 or O-320. AFAIK O320 pistons and cylinder...

Re: How Many AP's required
Hi Pilots I have heard recently heard that when one remove your wing/s to transport your plane, you need 2 A.P's done before you are allowed to fly it again. It does not sound right though. Who can tell me what the rules are regarding this ? tx Jakes Any work done to primary flight controls, Two AP...

Re: Rhino Park APs (Jabiru engine rated)
Justin, This is a good excuse to fly down to Munster or Margate, for a few days holiday. I would be able to do it for you.     (^^) If the plane still had a valid PFA, then the annual would not be a problem (plenty of fly-in APs around). Even considered a special flight pe...

Re: Rhino Park APs (Jabiru engine rated)
Hi Justin, Isn't Phillip at Zynkraal a Ap rated on Jabi's, know Stefan of KFA at Petit is maybe he can help? Philip isn't an AP - he used to use Monty, but has not found a new guy yet. Not sure about KFA - but last I checked he was a bit busy for call-outs... Following up on the other leads - thank...

I think I got it from http://www.wiremesh.co.za/ - but it was a long time ago.

Rhino Park APs (Jabiru engine rated)
Whee! The CAA song and dance is happening again...
Can anybody recommend a mobile AP who serves the Rhino Park area, and is rated on Jabiru engines? Seems Monty is no longer an AP (I know he was planning on leaving the country).
Thanks,
Justin

Re: Radio Interference from LED Landing lights
Cheap chinese lights can be impossible to use. I have a 10W spot light outside my house that drowns out my car's FM radio at 10m... Best bet is to minimise radiation from external wires - so you need to suppress the noise as close as possible to the lamps. Take each wire through 2 turns around a fer...

Re: Low Flying over Game Farm
How low is low? Some game farm owners think if you fly 2000' above them, then you're to low...if it's not proclaimed...read air law... The Cradle of Humankind WHS is proclaimed, and has a minimum altitude restriction of 8140'. I don't think there have been any prosecutions there yet, but if there are...

Re: New Battery
If you want to spin a 582 like a top, get one of these from your local hobby shop. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__14074__ZIPPY_Flightmax_8400mAh_4S2P_30C_LiFePo4_Pack.html Of course, if your regulator isn't 100% it will make for a very interesting mid-air bonfire   :twi...
