Re: Carb flooding

Your float needle valve is not closing properly. With the engine off, run the electric pump and it will start overflowing through the overflow tubes. Stop the pump, open the float, and bend the little tag on the float lever up a small amount. Close up and switch the pump on again. It should stop whe...

Re: EGT Rotax 582

You can also get them from MGL in Somerset West 021 855 1383

Be careful when you take the old one out, they can be really tight and with enough force they can snap off

Re: EGT Rotax 582

ok,

then it is either very rich on the cool piston or a faulty sensor, check the plug, if brown, ok, if black and oily not.

It is probably the sensor, I have had low cool readings from broken wires and sensors

Re: Mag problem - please help

Does this happen on both mags, i.e. if you switch right first instead of left and vice versa. Do you do mag checks before flight, this is critical? If so, are you seeing the rev drop on either side when you do the test? If you do see it on one side only that narrows your search Using a piece of wire...

Re: EGT Rotax 582

Your EGT is controlled by your fuel/air mix. Richer mix lower temps, leaner mix higher temps. If you take your plug out on that piston and it is burning white/grey then it is definitely a leaner mix. It should be dark chocolate brown. The hot temp is excessive and will result in a hole burnt in your...

Re: "Aftermarket" radiator for 912 pusher needed

the 912 radiator is very small, because it only needs to cool the heads.

you can have someone make one up for you. I had mine made by Silverton Radiators, ended up being a tenth of the price. I attach the size and specification

Re: Where is?

I heard someone calling I am still around but completely stopped flying. I wasn't enjoying being in the air, every time I took off I couldn't wait to land again. And then the death of RV4ker was the straw that broke the camels back. I personally felt the risks were too high for me, and as the only l...

Re: Convert LSA 2 seater to 4 seater? Possible?

Both adults together weigh 130kgs and 2 kids 30kgs = total 160kgs. I am thinking of mounting 2 kids seats at the back. Is this possible? Can i...

As far as i know at least 3 layers all round.
you can also slosh the inside of the tank with a 3M tank sealer. ## ##
