Mag Switch Wiring
Hi guys, I have replaced toggle switches on my trike now, and this morning when we were supposed to test fly, it wouldnt start. I figured that the toggle switch is basically closing the circuit in the on position, thus earthing the coil and not providing a spark. (Scary thought this coz I swung the ...

Re: Trike to Sodwana possible?
Hey Ant!
My trike has been to sodwana a few times before I bought it! I'll tell you what I'll do for you: I'll ask my trike in the morning which way it went and if it flew decently, then i'll let you know!

Re: New Pinedene route
Taken from ATNS website: "The change in the route was necessitated to prevent JHB CTR violations to the south and to avoid conflictions with the circuit traffic at Grand Central. The change to the route only affects the part of the route to the west of Pinedene Station. Travelling eastbound, traffic...

Re: Airstrip Info? Rietspruit?
I must say when I was flying in witbank, options were quite limited, although my low hours prevented me from wanting to go too far anyway! Now that i'm in the lowveld, options are wide open! I have about 5 or 6 possible 1 - 1.5hr breakfast spots! White river (baghdad cafe) around 26 miles, Kwamadwal...

Re: Flying where there's no plan B?
Hi Bugwar, Yes I can imagine! I've never flown anywhere where there was no place to land, so the first time (prob within a week) will be new to me. I am actually looking for a chute, just so that I have something to pull should the need arise. Sidenote: I never was taught how to emergency land betwe...

Flying where there's no plan B?
Hi guys, How do you chaps fly when you're in an area where there is no bail out option ie. untouched bushveld with narrow roads, plantations, mountains etc? Do you just not fly there because there's no place to land if need be, do you plan to limit time over "hostile" areas, or sometimes just say bu...
