HI, As an ex Sycamore owner / pilot let me say what i know. The standard Sycamore has two trim springs which are ground adjustible, so you should be able to trim out the gyro for a certain weight and speed, e.g. one up at 80mph. Weedy, I see on google earth that the original Warden is partly invested by low cost housing. Is the new field southwest of town private or council ? Is Donaldson Dam the same one as Carltonville skydiving ? Ok I did not know Warden had a new field. Donaldson Dam runway is now the main road in Bekk...

Ive been a few times, mainly two basic routes from the west rand.
If the weather is clear and calm when leaving Lydenburg then you can go over the top, about 8000 feet, other wise go south to Kwena Dam and then route along crocodile river.
