Skybound, is it not possible for the manufacturer in their operating manual to state that they RECOMMEND following the rotax service manual. Also seeing as it NTCA the manufacturer could point out to owners that these engines are subject to sudden stoppages as is detailed on the box and in the manua...

Is there a plan for someone to actually put in an application at CAA? Cause if the hoof kokalollie at CAA, Mr Jordaan, does not get it, then nothing gonna happen and my ATF is due soon!

Dave aka LS1 have you booked a flight yet... before we attract more non swimmers like airlaw. :?:

Great that this has spawned development in other motors, but this is not about Rotax or HKS or any other engine. This is about rules and regulations being changed and then not being appropriate for the industry they are supposed to protect. Now I can only assume that the CAA has done this with a vie...

Hunting the villans now will not slove anything. We need a solution for all microlighters now, not a court case which could take years and leave us vulnerable in the mean time. We need a legal standpoint and we need to take it to CAA with a view to building a long term relationship. Every country ha...

This is not the fault of the CAA and it does not help hunting the villans now. Rules and regs need to be made with everybody in mind and this was not done, nor was the correct procedure followed. For what ever reason the microlight community was not represented adequately or at all at CARCOM. Now it...

Now we are trying to fly legally without complying with part 24?, …if that much interpretation is required then things are definitely not right All that creative energy that should be making MISASA stronger, our instructors better and our safety paramount, is being wasted and leaves a very neg...

?? "and that the Delta 200 parachute club aircraft were also at fault," I don't know who the range manager is, but there are only a few pilots at Skydive Cape Town and we all avoid the range at all times and have done so for the last couple of years as requested by the SANDF. The sand dunes are like...

After lots of research I installed the local Airmagic communication system in less than 30 minutes on my trike - it comes with everything you need. The communication experience on the first flight was amazing. I integrated the system with an airmagic helmet and full face visor + bib. I can highly re...

CAA will have a file on the aircraft and the renewal papers should be within it. The AP that signed it off will be on the paperwork - contact him and locate them that way. Easy to just inform CAA but probably worth it in the long run to get hold of the new owners and let CAA know. Call Andre Swanepo...

Gert

Before you spend a lot of cash and go to huge effort - just check that you did not have the volume turned down. Others will hear you but you will not hear them. I have called you before and received no response, so having your comms checked before the next flight is a good idea.
