Re: Deployed old ballistic chute
I would imagine the lifespan given by the manufacturer is for being stored in the worst conditions, basically exposed to the elements continuously. Our aircraft are usually stored in very good conditions so I personally wouldn't be unhappy on my own chutes doubling the factory recommended repack dat...

Re: Airborn trikes
Hey Porra Checked my logbook and my Airborne Edge X 582 was Z172 My opinion, not ideal for a heavy guy at altitude, straight and level with just me in it she revved 5900rpm - needs a 912 for sure. Flies lekker but not a high lift wing at all, not sure of the other Airborne models. Build quality is ...

Re: Fuel Drains Upgraded with Curtis FAA approved ones
hi all, thought I would post an update on an upgrade I did to my fuel drains on ZU-DYB - I have had a recent drain seepage problem after replacing and servicing them numerous times. I decided that since I was too scared to check uel before each flight for fear of leacking drains and loosing fuel in...

Re: Fuel Drain Plug failure Aerotrike Scout
Most times the problem occurs when pilots pull the valve down and turn it to try and get it to seal.
The problem is a bit of dirt not allowing the valve to seat.
All you need to do is let it flush clean and the leak will stop (not much fuel wasted)
