Re: Xenon RST overhead panel pics 29 July

You only need two buttons on that overhead panel Greg. Take off and land! vhpy

Oh and a beer button. (^^)

And you should get someone to work in the garden for you then you'll find the time to finish your panel

Gee gas!

Ek sal nie te veel worry oor kaarte nie. Eerder dat my neute sal afvries. Vlieg padlangs die aarde is jou kaart.

I don't have a problem with the use of transponders in controlled airspace and IFR flights.

Re: Stellenbosch flying area (delta 69) - QUESTION Freq ?

Also beware of the FAP38 on that route. You have to be 2000ft or higher if you go directly over it. Its a couple of nms south of Voelvlei.

Re: LAP EN PYP, DRAADKARRE, GRASSNYERS

We are flying!!! To me this is what counts. Don't matter if it's a Boeing, Cessna or a Paraglider. I don't care what it is. The point is you're flying. If you are in the sky you are flying........... Flying is what unites us. As a whole recreational flying in SA is in too much danger of becoming ext...

Re: "Broadcast TIBA"

TIBA stands for "Traffic Information Broadcast (By Aircraft)".

When ATC says broadcast TIBA you acknowledge and then change to the frequency that is appropriate to the area and altitude / flight level you are flying in. You then broadcast position as appropriate.

Re: The Mag: Planes & Bikini's?

I feel uncomfortable receiving pictures of woman in bikinis in my Microflight mag. That's not what I am subscribing to. I am not averse to woman in bikini's. I can subscribe to a woman in bikini mags for that, or check out some photos on internet. When writing an article about flying or aircraft the...

Re: MISASA ARO / MOP PLUS New SACATS AND CARS Open for Comme

You know what would be really nice: Given the fact that governance of our sport has been awarded to an ARO (MISASA) - If MISASA did all licencing and regulation also. Then its one stop shopping for pilots and we pay fees to one organization / authority which includes all aspects of flying / owning M...

Re: Another stupid question.

Dear Alan Never a stupid question. Your calculation is correct except that your degrees should be minutes. Then it will make more sense. So, according to your calculation the variation for your area in 2010 (on a 2004 map which specifies 4 minutes change West per year) would be the value on the isog...

Dear Greg

This should be reported to CAA / RAASA so that individuals can be remediated in an appropriate, and on an individual basis.

Re: AIRSCHOOL SCAM

I also fell for this about 4 years ago. I gave them my bank details and they deposited a lot more money than I quoted for service. They faxed proof of payment and then phoned my secretary a short while later saying they paid someone's salary into my account by mistake would I please pay the balance ...
