Re: Rotax 583 powered KR2

Jammer om te hoor dinge het nie uit gewerk nie Henni?

Wat van 'n KR2 wat so +-70% klaar is en reeds geregistreer is?

Groete,
Rudi

Re: Rotax 583 powered KR2

Hi Henni, great to see you are back and planning/building again! I love your project, I am sure your plane will be special when it is finished. I agree, stick to a direct drive VW, the reduction drive won't buy you much on a KR. If you need info/help just shout! Maybe we will fly together again one ...

Re: Invitation to consider the need for type-approval of rad

This is an interesting situation Peter. I know from the radio amateur side the rules have long been disputed and never applied. It was a bit of a joke anyway since radio amateurs are allowed, even encouraged, to build their own equipment so the whole "Needs to be type-certified" thing is a joke! I k...

Re: Enkelsitplek Flight Star

 How do you get training to fly that aircraft.? :? Reminds me of my KR2 conversion  The instructor looked at us and said "I don't think the 2 of us will fit into the cockpit! Have you read the manual? Do you think you can fly it?" I said yes and yes, I am sure I can fly it! He then sa...

This looks like a great fly-in, just sad that it is the same weekend as the EAA Sun & Fun

Re: Rotax 532 powered KR2

Hi Henni! Glad you did not have an accident with the lower ball-joint failure! I see your landing gear mounting is the same as VYZ, it is really solid, I can attest to that...... The seat is looking good, at this rate it won't take long to get the mod done, then you can get stuck into the engine and...

Re: Rotax 532 powered KR2

Great stuff Henni! Nice to see the progress, soon she will fly! Yes, saw your link on KRNet but it does not work. The : was left out of the http:// bit. I have 2 links there, think I need to add ZU-AVM, I am keen to do some work on her but for that I need to take her home, little work gets done at R...

Re: Prop strikes from runway debris; tractor v pusher

Hi, I am curious about the frequency of prop strikes from gravel, etc on bush strips comparing tractor v pusher props, and particularly vs the props situated high off the ground - as in the Bat Hawk and Bantam. Has anyone seen a study? Anyone operating from a bush strip with both types of planes ha...

Here are the instrument panels of VYZ and CGR, I prefer "steam gauges" for the primary instruments, after 30+ years in IT I do NOT trust electronics  l1010030_std_std.jpg ZS-VYZ img_2825_std.jpg ZU-CGR Since these photos were taken I have made a few small changes including a new radio and tra...

Re: Rotax 532 powered KR2
