Re: Fly-Away Sibaka 19 Feb 2011 - All Welcome
Hi Tribal Croc,
I'd like to take-up Emfuleni. Let me know what you need from me, moving forward.
My son and partner will be flying ZU-BWK, whilst my wife and I will be driving (providing backup!).
Regards,
Baden.

Yup! Being a trike pilot penalises you! That's the conventional thinking! Ludicrous, isn't it!   Stats before me indicate that there is absolutely no correlation between aircraft (3xs or trike) and risk exposure, but, hell, one certainly pays for the insurance industry's ignorance...

Hi DieselFan, and all other "browsers", Yup, back again after an easy "round trip" to the fairest Cape, returning via the Oyster Festival at Knysna!!! Defintely no speed limit exclusions, or excuses why one shouldn't be covered! A great lesson was learnt from IGI's "We don't pay, we Hassle" -xX -xX ...

Hi Guys, Back again after an interesting long weekend :D :D :D GS, when I mentioned foolhardy, please understand that the flying fraternity are generally a laconic bunch, and they've earned much more than just their T-Shirts and Stripes!  There is something unwritten that sets aviators ...

Hi Delta VV, The questions you raised would certainly form a basis upon which to calculate one's contribution rate. Added to this would be a myriad of other factors, least of all the value of the asset, and the hours used. This would be an important consideration. Whilst the original principle of in...

Thanks for your input, Jerry B. All input is always valuable. For the record, I HAVEN'T ever done anything like this in the past. Notwithstanding, if we had to base all our decisions based on what happened in the past, then we would never have had the privilege of knowing what flight is all about, b...

I good example of an individual taking on an entire industry segment, and winning, is Adrian Gore, founder of DISCOVERY HEALTH. :D :D There is no reason why the intrepid spirit of freedom and adventure displayed by the microlighting fraternity cannot be extended into areas previously preserved by ul...

Not at all  It is the very financial institutions that place an onerous burden on any entity that causes it to be inefficient, and you and I end up paying for that inefficiency....big time! I propose that it remain exclusively for the microlight fraternity, in underwriting their flying...

Microlight Insurance
The comments regarding Microlights insurance is far and varied, with Graham's entry into the foray, he is either brave, or fool hardy :D !!!! Whilst "Big Business" rules the roost (viz-a-viz Santam), there ain't gonna be any meaningful shift in the way insurances are handled, and we will forever be ...
