Re: MONETORY FINES IMPOSED BY CAA

I agree with Asterix, its about money. Most of the regulatory reviews do not add much to flight safety but add a lot to the cash flow into official coffers. I do remember the late Ronald Reagan remarking that: "The most terrifying words In the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm he...

Re: CAPE TRIKERS

Yup, the weather forecast for the weekend looks like it could be a good fly to Eendekuil and back.
But, better check tomorrow afternoon before getting excited! :P

Who's in the party for a probable flight from Diemers, Wintervogel and Morningstar ??

Re: Diemerskraal!!!

"I missed out on the steak tatar sandwhiches and coffee. We will definatley have to make another date for that!" Those were consumed in a pasture west of Darling Cellar on Saturday Old Timer! We will have to start all over again with arrangements for a new brekkie opportunity to convince V to do the...

Re: Diemerskraal!!!

We were heading for FASD via Yzerfontein on Saturday when that slight glitch occurred.

Re: Diemerskraal!!!

No sweat V. It's what hangarmates do.
Well, it was a sweat, but that is what happens if you run a trike across a pasture and down a road on a hot summers day!!
Main objective is to get WHM back in the air so we can make it to FASD in one hop.

Re: Diemerskraal!!!

The last few weeks you braai at Diemers by just being there!
We will give autumn a wee chance and then arrange to braai something edible.

You gotta fly when you gotta fly!!

V experienced an engine out en route to Yzerfontein on Saturday, and made a safe landing in a pasture just west of Darling Cellar. His two hangarmates landed to give support and recorded this ultra-low, ultra slow fly-by in the process of getting the trike to a spot where it could be conveniently de...

Re: Low Level Nuisance flying, near Wintervogel

Raait Gert well said, your thoughts echo how most of the guys who fly feel. The key is whether the wildlife represents a protected specie and the people are residents who have a valid complaint about low flying/ noise etc. In this case the only valid element for the complaint is the flamingo's, whic...
