The idle speeds you are giving are a little high - if i recall they should be in the region of 1500rpm warm. There is a small variation between warm and cold engine, but i think it should be about 100 rpm. A cold engine gives a very inconsistent idle speed and may fluctuate a bit. My recommendation ...

Anthing reliable that can replace the Ratex is good for aviation. Ratex- reliable, but bank manager not so reliable (**)

That is most definately another major problem - Backup SERVICE. Many suppliers only seem to get MY Backup!

It still amazes me that hats/caps or any other sun protection seem to be looked at with a "I only need that on holiday" attitude.
