Re: Vortex Generators
Whether in a fixed or flex wing, the principle is the same, it keeps the airflow over the top of the wing for longer and thus reduces your stall speed. The problem with this is that that you have to increase the angle of incidence to achieve this in the flare and when the seperation happens, all lif...

Re: Ramp Inspection List
" A certified copy is valid as long as the original is valid " I have always understood this to be the case. The 3 months validity probably comes from other sectors such as a local municipality's vehicle licencing depeartment. I have been turned away there, and elsewhere, because my certified copy i...

Hello Boet. Daar is niks beter as n bietjie wind onder die gat, die hoer, die viniger, die beter
.
Boet. This is a stock standard Avid and the wings were built in America with 75mm wash out. Only the dash is personalised and I wouldnt do it the same with my explorer experience behind me.

Just in those pics there appears to be two Mustangs, a Chipmonk and what may be a Beech Staggerwing, besides other projects. I will go and have a look.
Ok Flyer, thanks for the link, by the way, the RR or Packard Merlin only has 26L...but thats still a lot of fuel per revolution

Re: Avid Flyer MK IV ZU-BJE
At Last, the right day, the right moment and frame of mind co-incided and I took BJE up for her first flight on Sunday morning. Was'nt happy, landed immediately and adjusted her prop pitch finer by one degree, checked and adjusted the wash out on the left hand wing and took her up for a 15min flight...

Hi Vernon.
Thanks for a great read. Here's a few pics of the frosties/frothies depending how high they flew and how rough they landed.

Hi Alan. What a great event. You and your team deserve the the success you achieved. The refuse is always a problem and on Monday, our groundsman was muttering about the dozens of bags waiting for someone to collect. Next year lets chat. For our EAA event I arranged that council drop off a skipwaste...

Hey Tailspin, this good enough to spin your tail ?
.
Upstairs is a large wooded deck and can accomodate many. The downstairs area is tiled and has much space as well.
I will open for Stefan once he gets there on Friday and there is a very secure store if you need it.
Fly safely guys.
