Re: Where near Umhlanga can one go for a trike flipie

Hi Dave

Do you offer any training on trikes? I would like to start training next month and the coast seems like the best place I think.

Re: Circuit radio calls

I agree with Duck. I have witnessed a twin engine cut straight through the active circuit of an ultralight airfield without a single radio call. This resulted in a student pilot doing circuit training having to take evasive action! Its this kind of behaviour you should be "crapping" yourself about n...

Re: Good Buy?

Agree with Stephan. I know the Mac had it's fans but in todays terms they are not lekker. There are a couple of good bargain trikes out there at the moment. Do yourself a favour though and take someone experienced with you when looking at an aircraft otherwise it could end up costing you bucks. Che...

Re: ANY MOGAS AVAILABLE AT Balito/La Mercy

Your best bet is Ballito. Check out the their web site for contact details and arrange it. I would not rely on LaMercy......heehee (its closed-non existent).

Firstly my sincere condolences to the family. Aiden was always friendly, polite and helpful and his passion for aviation was obvious. A great loss for aviation as well.

RIP

Re: Solo at last!

I don't think there is anyone who does not remember the first solo and the nerves that go with it. Its something not easily forgotten and cannot be explained to anyone who has never been there.

Re: Hornets nesting in Engine

The people have given you valuable advice. Don't ignore it!! Some years ago there was an airliner with over 180 that crashed killing all because these little creatures decided the aircraft was a suitable home and messed up their instrument readings with fatal results!!
