Hi Wargames, I fly an Aquilla and have a pod similar to the banana pod type. Very happy with it as it gives more space for instruments than the T-pod type. There's a guy up here on the Highveld that has various moulds for the pods and makes them in any colour. PM me if you'd like me to get hold of h...

I spoke to an agent at Bavaria Motorcycles last week. According to him the main block/crank of the BMW's are Rotax, with the remainder of the engine being BMW parts. Is this true? Anyone know?

Tracer, I was in the same boat as you about 6 months ago. Had the license, but no plane or equipment. I ended buying 2 helmets from Buzzcom (excellent product) at R1k each. When I finally bought a trike, it came with Helmets and headsets. If I were you I'd definitely buy the flightsuits, but rather ...

Not at all Skybound.
I think the question is being misunderstood. Apologies for any confusion.

What I wanted to know is whether I should change the plugs myself, or ask an AP to do it?

A friend of mine lives in Walvis Bay. She went up for a flip with a friend and sent me these pics.
Damn, some people have beautiful places to fly from!

Not too sure, the pilot might even be on the forum.. :?

Spark plug replacement

I need to change my spark plugs for the first time since I bought my trike. With this whole CAA issue, should I do it myself or would you guys suggest I get our local AP at Microland to do it, or at least stamp my engine logbook? Believe it or not, I bought my plane in October with 250hrs on and it'...

I took a PPl up in November. He had a blast... Even gave him the reigns for a short while and he was amazed at how "difficult" it was! He started with a medium turn and could not correct, with everything being opposite! But he loved the experience. Took another PPL mate up in J-Bay in December and h...

ZS-NEL,

The best bet is to put your CV on pnet.co.za, and they come looking for you! You'll be amazed at the responses you get. Especially being from an Engineering background.
