Re: What's happening with the weather?

I feel your frustration John. Yesterday afternoon looked nice after the thunderstorm, The windsock was about as lazy as I felt, except that a strong gust came out of nowhere every now and then. Not worth the risk in my overly conservative opinion. Besides, after spending almost the whole the day cle...

Re: Waar is al die ou manne.

Medical no real issue, just a slightly different protocol in that the stress ECG is every medical, and not every second one. Also medical valid...

Re: Waar is al die ou manne.

I still check in now and then too. Avcom is more active, but activity there has dwindled too. I remember the days when George Brink (RV4ker) spent all day, on this site, every day! He was almost always the first to reply to a new topic with meaningful insight. The day his accident was reported here,...

Re: Standard hanger size and build plans

There are companies that supply structures in kit form. It may be worth looking at. There was a place near Meyerton on the R21 that advertised on a sign. Can't for the life of me remember the name.

Re: Gopro mounts

I made one that fits the profile tube on an Aquilla a while back. It wasn't for a GoPro but for some action cam. It may fit. Drop me a PM and I'll email the model in either parasolid, step, or IGS format. Alternatively, I could run a few on our CNC mill if time isn't an issue. (Paying jobs come first)

Re: Aquilla 582 price

Silver top is fine. Flew mine for many hours without any issues whatsoever. The pylon fairing is missing, although not an essential item, it does look good and adds value. Have the condition of the dacron and stitching checked. Thats a big expense to have fixed. Check that the books, engine and airf...

Not sure if it will fit, but the Solo wings trike profile tube might work.

Re: Grasslands air field

Hi Guys,

EasyPlan lists the runway length as 540m.
The first post lists it as 900m, but later the length reverts to 540m.

Can someone provide some clarity?
