Re: Flight Planning- FAD 60 ?

Hi Tumbleweed Not sure that it is available online, on the CAA website. And, if it is, the chance of finding the info is so slim for any normal and abnormal human. That website is totally user unfriendly and a maize of information that is not related to us as pilots. The good news is that the CAA is...

Re: Tailwheel training at Komati Flight Academy

Hi all If one considers the cost for insuring a taildragger for instruction purposes using certified aircraft like a Decathlon, which obviously gets passed to the student, this offer from Komati Flight Academy, will not be beaten easily. The aircraft they use are amazing for taildragger training. Ad...

Re: WARP DRIVE HUB CRACKING

Hi all

A few questions:

1. On what engine was the prop?
2. If on a 4 stroke Rotax, was there a slipper clutch fitted to the reduction drive?
3. Was this on a "heavy duty" hub?
4. Are there any other information that is common to this problem that you are aware of?

Thank you

Christo

Re: Those Bastards who sell me this Stuff

Another way to prevent springs from breaking is to get some heat resistant silicone, squeeze a line of the stuff along the length of the spring, repeat on the opposite side. Apparently is damps the vibrations, and by doing that, it keeps your vibes up.

The ANC rules ## ## AVIATE NAVIGATE COMMUNICATE Rudix, you did well, keeping control at all cost and flying the aircraft saved the day, this is a great lesson to all of us. A great Test pilot once said: If you have to crash, fly the aeroplane as far as possible into the crash... Good job...
