Not that i know of but should not be hard or difficult to do. Would suggest you get the factory to do the install because it will be easier with the paperwork.

When they come to TBO - just like any other engine - you do the overhaul and it's good for another 2000 hours...You don't take it off and throw it away...

Raymond that AP bases his recommendation on 30 years of experience not just on 'sommer'. Although the theory is sound and yes it is the 'recommended' altitude jets he has seen many failed engines with melted pistons on the 582's hence the recommendation. I have never seen a failed 582 that ran sligh...

If I recall there was a 'grandfather' clause that allowed guys that had hours an for instance a cheetah when the part 62 licenses was introduced but that would have long expired by now...

Yes can be done. Speak to the guys form solowings and ask about the engine mounts and radiator mounts.

the cowlings on this one seems to be the same holes as on the later cheetahs in the hangar so I think they should be ok.

Nothing picture worthy done but did some of the electrics, mounted the oil tank and did a bit of planning around the panel and where to mount the radiators etc today. Will do some more wiring on monday again. Things are coming along nicely now.

Since friday things have been coming along nicely. All the wing sails were repaired and another one sourced for the body. Assembly going along in great strides.
