Re: Gemini 2 stroke diesel
Thanks for the info and pics. Leonardo da Vinci said " simplicity is the ultimate sophistication", with 30 % less parts and the ability to burn A1, diesel, sunflower oil, paraffin, it opens the African skies for a touring LSA like the long EZ. I have attempted contacting Gemini directly, no luck so ...

Gemini 2 stroke diesel
Hi Chaps,
Does anybody have info on the availability of the Gemini 100 and 125 hp 2 stroke, 6 (yes) piston, 3(yes) cylinder - diesel aero engine? Superior stocks this engine. Used for the Carbon Cub.
I would like to use it in my Long EZ (under construction) Pusher application.

Re: Building the Long EZ
Ok,ok.. So we have nearly completed the 1/5th scale EZ, final sanding wheel pants and paint to go. This was a fantastic way to exercise the ignorance and now we have a "pretty close" scale model to fly. Its more fun than throwing all that layup practice, sanding and painting in the bin as pieces Muc...

Re: Building the Long EZ
Spot on! Once airborne it attains and holds cruising speed well, hence the small engines. Originally used a continental o-200 Hp or a VeeDub . The lighter the plane the better it goes! Its a fantastic balance of power vs weight vs range vs agility vs speed. It flies at a glide ratio of some 35:1 I w...

Re: Building the Long EZ
Lycoming o-320 A1A 160 Hp with a Hertzler wood prop is, with all things considered, the gold standard although some use the Lycoming o-360 180hp. Rotax, Jabiru can all work. What you add at the back you add at the front Trick with this thing is to do what Uncle Burt said. How to know if something is...
