Also if not in use what other airfields are closer than Carolina to Badplaas? , and does someone perhaps have a contact in Carolina which I can contact

What you are burning sounds about right. 2 stroke rotax are fuel guslers. Might get better fuel burn if its not a trike, but not much better.
