Re: My AP rating.
After many years (23) in the aircraft industry, and much well meant pestering from clients and colleagues alike, I finally went to the Big Smoke last year October and wrote the exams. All exams passed, and some "educating" on the correct AP works logbook format , I am now a qualified AP. There is o...

Re: Trike pilot work pportunity
The Kenya Wildlife Authority has resisted a consideration to use gyros as they are accustomed to using Super Cubs. This company seems to be using the M24 with great results in Kenya :?: Great video of the Magni in this link, I am not convinced all the operators who use Gyro in Kenya hold a CPL? I k...

Re: Trike pilot work pportunity
CS thanks for that update, much appreciated. I’m December a mate if mine was there to assemble a new Cavalon (himself from the British air wing police Heli decision) He is a gyro CFI and trained an owner on the new Cavelon, he mentioned to me that there were talks to use a gyro. In a few of the pics...

My mate Kobie in Joburg sent me a pic of Nic and a nice looking semen receptacle taking delivery of an Aston Martin.... things cant be too bad at eagle?
Aston’s are not entry level cars by any stretch of the imagination..... if JB will allow it I could post the pic?

Antenna help please
I’m working on a gyro, it seems to have lost its Tx, Rx antenna, it’s equipped with an ATR 500 My calculations using a 50ohm cable from radio to outlet on frame is I need to install a 600mm long antenna? I have calculated this length based on a flat 125 MHz as being in the center of our frequency ra...

Re: Fly Argo UPDATE!is it worth risking 2.2 Million?
Ok so I met with the client locally in JHB, the idea was to discuss the Fly Argo marketing and Training plan. It was asked that I go to Poland to do some testing and to get some information on this new kid, I in turn suggested why dont I do some Due Diligence from here? as flying economy class and l...

Re: Titanium Gyro down AUS
I have been informed that all Titanium Gyro with the folding mast configuration have been grounded by the authority in Australia until further notice.
This is really bad for a new brand to have this type of negative media at such a time when it really just needs positive reviews.

Fly Argo is it worth risking 2.2 Million?
Fly Argo are using much of the CA media to promote there products? I asked the question on the forums why they're promoting images that were developed years ago by Wagatail in conjunction with Cilliar Aviation?? the sales-manager is a very interesting person who seems to side step the issue of engin...

New Gyro coming to SA!
So Fly Argo (also from Poland) who build what looks like Zen /Xenon gyro along with a copy of what I think is a SANKA two seater Helicopter are bringing a Black Series Gyro into the market. It looks very much like the Xenon we know? Syed Zoheb has assured me this gyro-copter is in a very different c...
Re: ROTORS
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dissymmetry_of_lift Thanks John familiar with this being a Heli pilot myself, however a gyro does not have the pitch change during rotation, as you are aware the pitch on a Heli blade through 360' changes for every degree of rotation. A gyro the pitch is static through...
Re: ROTORS
I am battling with the concept of high speed blade flap? Remember when we were kids we had a dunlop swing ball? a tennis ball on a small rope and it was attached to a pole, the idea was to hit the ball around and then the other payer hits it back? now the ball in flight with velocity would need seri...
Re: ROTORS
In flight the rotor is loaded, the blades will be at speed say 380rpm or higher depending on your DA and load, this means they have centrifugal outward force. Are you sure you had rotor flap ? Or could it have been a patch of severe turbulence? Turbulence coupled with a low friction head set up coul...
