Re: RAPTOR SUSPENSION RUBBERS

Common problem with these Raptor rubbers. Me and 4 other Raptor owners had endless problems with these rubbers. New ones didn't even last 6 months. We found a rubber composite manufacturer who made replacement units to size. I also believe these can be upgraded to steel coil spring units by Jenya?? ...

REPAIR CRACK IN FUEL TANK

Any advise on repairing a small crack in the fuel tank of my trike?
The crack is right where the fuel pick-up goes through the tank - obviously as result of overtightening.

Re: Otjiwarango

Hi Tinkerbell,

Groete

Re: Temp export of microlight to Namibia.

Hi Biggles, Ok, I have some feedback for you. For foreign registered aircraft you would need a Overflight and Landing Clearance for Namibia stating when and where you will be flying - we can help you with that. This clearance however is only valid for 30 days but you can re-apply for it many times o...

Re: 582 Coolant Color Change

Hi Bateleur, Have a look at my post 2 year ago. http://www.microlighters.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=17667 I had a similar problem with coolant discolouration without any engine problems whatsoever. I am 90% sure mine was as result of some exhaust gas entering the coolant at the top gaskets as result...

Re: SA pilots detained once again in NAMIBIA

Valid point Turbo but actually there is NOTHING to worry about if the required documents are in place - and it is quite simple actually, provided the correct information is supplied all around.

Re: Solar-Heat pump or just the geyser

I am in Windhoek. I am of opinion that if you can heat a huge enough amount of water during the day, if possible something like 400 or 500l, then it would be enough to last until the next day for people to shower in the morning even with any electrical element back-up. Only problem here is if you ge...

Re: Solar-Heat pump or just the geyser

Hope my experience is of some assistance. I've had a solar geyser for 7 years. If you buy, make sure it is BIG enough. If you use say a 150l electrical unit usually, then go for a 300L. Reason for this is during the day you will easily heat up 300l with the sun. When you however start using hot wate...

Re: Namibia Fiasco

OK Guys, Herewith the correct and COMPLETE procedure(I really don't know why I am still making the effort). For ZU (non certified aircraft) 1) Complete an Overflight and Landing Authorisation application - (available in PDF format) 2) Complete the form with as much info possible - don't worry if you...

Re: Namibia Fiasco

That is correct, Paul and Louis's applications was among those submitted with Larry's group. They heard about the fiasco and decided to wait around Upington until the final overflight is issued. I was once again with DCA this morning(never stops) and saw the application reached the correct office in...
