Re: Trike en Jakkalsjag
Peter When that runway is ready give us a call and Im sure we could get a few trikes there to do some spotting. Most trikers would do almost anything for a nice breakfast let alone a nice braai and sleep over. regards Sukkelaar Now we're talking. That's the kind of help I've been looking for from m...

Re: Trike en Jakkalsjag
Not criticizing the guys that don’t agree with the hunting option. Only a farmer will understand. What I did get from the question I asked is that it is not a good idea to hunt from a trike. Hiring a helicopter is very expensive and somebody mentioned the spotting of the jackal with a trike and that...

Re: Trike en Jakkalsjag
I knew that we would end up with more discussions on “not to hunt” then answering my question on shooting from a trike. I do get the point and understand that it might be dangerous especially with the prop behind the hunter. Thank you for your advice. To all the “greenies” out the there remember, ne...

(omtrent so 33 000 mark lamme...

Die manne was baie profesioneel en he...

Re: Radiator "size" for winter/summer
The duct tape that was covering the radiator when I first bought the trike, makes sense to me now. I’m going to have to put that back during the winter again. What also made a change is the anti freeze ratio. I drained the water and replaced the contents with a 50/50 mix of water-anti freeze. The mo...

Re: Radiator "size" for winter/summer
Thanks again for all the help. I did the boiling water trick this morning. Gauge went up to 120 deg cels. If I add the 20 over boiling point to the 50 (that it shows during flight) it gives me 70. Do I still need to change? I now know that the gauge work, it is just showing 20 deg lower. Remember Mi...

Thanks Morph, will check the probe today. Had a good look at the temp yesterday. Goes up to 50 during flight. Must be the gauge.

Radiator "size" for winter/summer
When I bought my trike with 582, 2 years ago, the owner trailered it down from Gaut..(that place in the north). It arrived here with duck tape over half of the radiator. He said that was for the cold temperatures and is an approved way of running the engine at the right temperature. The gauge showed...

Re: The best weather for flying microlight
Try the Karoo this time of the year...heeltyd speeltyd. Agree with Gert, if the work thing didn't intervere with our lives lot's of flying time. Just had a six day spell of absolute wonderful flying weather. Waaier did the Table Mountain thing today. Not (**) but vhpy vhpy afterwards. The Karoo is ...

Re: The best weather for flying microlight
Note where I fly from. Try those 150 hours near the mountains by Greyton!Huh?
Average 150hrs per year, could be more if I did not have to work. Or if I could force myself to get up before sunrise
