Quicksilver from Pta to Timbavati
I'm taking the Quicksilver Sport 2S from "The Rose" (near Rhino Park, Pretoria East) to the Timbavati (Combretum) next weekend (27/28 June depending on wind). I'll be landing at Lydenburg to refuel (just to play it safe). She has a 45L Tank with a Rotax 582. Should do it in about 3 Hours, 190 miles ...

Free/Cheap GPS Navigation App for Android ?
Hi All, Does anyone know if there are any Free (or cheap) GPS Navigation Apps available for Android? We need to undertake 2 cross country flights and the Mini iPad (with EasyCockpit) is to large to mount on the Quicksilver. 1) I suppose one can try and mount the Mini iPad as kneepad but worried it m...

Re: Johnorr's Explorer
Sorry KFA,
I only Posted to Pages where Quicksilver was mentioned. I suppose I had to somehow "link" it to the post mentioned, but I'm a bit new to the site and did not know how.
Just trying to spread the word that Quicksilver is back in SA.
Again, Sorry.

Hi, Don't let anyone talk you out of the MXII. I have many, many hours on the type and 2nd hand they are mostly the best flying that can be had for the money paid. They are extremely strong, safe and reliable. If I had one, I would most certainly not swop it for any trike. Henni http://www.quicksil...

Re: Tandem vs Side by Side; Perfect vs Ideal.
Hi Flynote, For the last 6 months I have been looking at the horrible looking single seaters from the States. I remember the fun I used to have flying in the 80's my Quicksilver MX2 at 60 km/h. Flying from Baragwanath to Rietfontein was requiring proper x-country planning, but it was the same fun a...

Re: Who flies what and where?
Greetings! Tjader Regis here from Davao City, Philippines. Recently joined a club and learned to fly on a Quicksilver Sports 2S with an HKS 700E; Aerolux 3 blade 68inch prop & BRS.
