Re: Duct Tape. Look what a bear can do to your plane

This just shows you what the excellent Koala aircraft are capable of. Wonder if some wood in the structure was also damaged and duct taped?.

Re: TOYOTA YARIS ENGINE

From what I see this Yaris engine would be a nice replacement in my Koala For the bigger applications I have also been looking into alternative engines for aviation, and being a Hyundai fan maybe the following motors may also be looked at eventualy. 1. Lambda - 3.3/3.8 L The Hyundai Lambda engine fa...

Re: KOALA REFURBISHMENT PROJECT

Paul I have recently bought ZS VTN and I also own ZS WHH( Further down in the Projects column). Both Super koala's need refurbishment. VTN has been robbed of it's instruments and motor. WHH has had a nose-over. The idea is to rob Peter to pay Paul. ( No pun intended) I only found out now that I will...

Re: Transporting a project?

I need to fetch my 3 axis Koala in Durbanville, and have converted my boat trailer for the trip. I simply added two angle irons over the A frame for the two wheels to stand in (about eight inches appart), and will strap the nosewheel to the front pillar in the middle where the nose of the boat would...

Re: Reviving Super Koala WHH

I have started to strip the wing and it looks very bad. Considering having a braai with it instead. Is there anyone with plans for this aircraft that might consider selling me some copies. It would be bad to try and stick new wood into the aircraft without having at least some sort of an idea about ...

Re: Fuel pump unnecessary

Wouldn't it be a better option to rather have two systems ie. Tank....T piece1....Filter1....mech pump....T piece2....T piece 3....carburators... and ..Tank...T piece1....filter2........Backup pump....T Piece2...... for incase the filter1 blocks real bad or mech pump fail. (Only if the backup pump d...

I will surely knock on your door at some time to light the candle of knowledge. Gunter, I cannot seem to open the last link. It keeps on giving me an ...

Re: Reviving WHH

I'd rather strip and fix one at a time so as not to be discouraged if I see the damage all at the same time. Might get a heart attack before I start. (**) No seriously, I'd have a better feeling if the parts stay together untill such time as I am ready financially and mentally for the challenge ahea...

Re: Reviving WHH

I did ask our friend Demon by email that my logon name be changed to "Greenman" after I saw that there was already a "Tracer" registered to avoid confusion, but I believe he has not been able to do just that. Sorry Tracer, I hope it will be sorted out soon. Thanx a lot for the good adv...
