Re: Kitplanes turns 21 - Fly in 04 October 2014
What a nice event!!!! Well done to the organizers, it was a pleasure to find an ATC and ground marshals directing aircraft. The big turnout and variety of planes on display was amazing! Unfortunately I have to say I was extremely disappointed in the airmanship shown by 4 different helicopter pilots....

Re: NIC PRINSLOO
I agree with everybody, there is just too much doubt about Mr Nic Prinsloo's and his Eagle Aviation's ethic to even consider doing business with him. Unfortunately he is not the only one in the gyro fraternity that has a bad track record and there is some horror stories about other people and compa...

Re: NIC PRINSLOO
Also our gyro was advertised with 49h. Only found out from Anthony during the insspection that the ECU/TCU hours did not match the hobbs. Gyro had more than 100h on it according to the electronics. In our case the logbooks for the gyro went missing so we could not view the hours or incidents. Even i...

Re: NIC PRINSLOO
We bought a gyro through Nic from a gent named Ernie Cave. After paying for the gyro it was found by the AP that the gyro had a bent undercarriage and there was a modification outstanding on the hub bar. The gyro could not receive an ATF without repair. In other words Nic sold us a gyro that could n...

Re: Phalaborwa
Just a warning guys. Was told over the weekend by one of my family members living in Phalaborwa that his friend was issued a fine of R4000 for landing at Phalaborwa without approval. Guards were told to "impound" the plane and the owner had to pay the fine before he was able to leave. Madness! Why d...

Re: South Coast flying 25 April to 4th May 2014
Is there a specific reason you guys want to take two days to get down to Margate? We have flown there many times in groups with various aircraft (503 - 912s) and it can be done comfortably in a day. We always flew Springs, Harrismith (refuel from back seat) Shell Escourt. (refuel trike and container...

Push it out of the hanger and just leave it. Change the lock and deny that you ever touched his plane to protect yourself. Deny Deny Deny!

Re: Glyding range of aircraft
CG will determine how an aircraft flies and glides. So if the motor is in the front or back the CG needs to be correct so personally I feel it has very little effect. could be wrong

Sodwana Airfields
Has anyone flown to Sodwana recently? I have never flown there and would like some info on the current runway condition etcetera. I see on Easyplan there are two airfields listed very close together. One is Sodwana Microlight Services with a 200m runway and the other is Sodwana Bay National Park at ...
