Re: Gyro theory

T-Bird and the other experts, Explain low and slow to me please. AAT says my minimum speed is 20 mpu. I never tried it, except in training in a power off hover, so maybe I should (at seriously high agl I would presume). My question is simple, or not, maybe just stupid, but if I want to fly sloooow, ...

Re: Gyro Hanger space in Joburg?

Not really sure of Johannesburg North, if north I think you are going to have to go Pretoria, but south there is fantastic space at Tedderfield, and its only 20 km south of Joburg all on highway.

Contact Andre du Plessis on 08377601890, tell him Pieter sent you

Re: RAF Flight Behaviour

PTKay, Just to reconcile, I for one and I presume all the guys here have read the AIIB report. If you have better data to supply, great, if not lets move on. From my side, I am just a simple gyro owner/flyer, and will never fly a RAF, not for safety or other reasons, but because I LOVE my Zen1 and i...

Re: RAF Flight Behaviour

Thanks JP,

Now we are back onto the knowledge and skills transfer stage. Please tell us more. And can Eben and team join in and explain the differences so we (I in particular) can understand and respect the differences in the RAF.

Re: RAF Flight Behaviour

Gents, I absolutely agree with all the posts above re in-fighting and mud slinging, but maybe some of us are missing the realities. I am not an expert but I can read, please check the posts currently running on the rotaryforum re the RAF. Are we not maybe standing by while people die!!!! and it seem...

Re: RAF Flight Behaviour

It is my experience throughout my short 55 years that when a person or organisation comes out full guns blazing when being placed in the limelight, you know what?? it sounds like they are guilty! Wat se hulle oor n rokie en n vuurtjie? I know absolutely nothing about the RAF, except to say that in M...

Re: Pitch trim wanted for a gyro

RR,

The best man for your problem is Eric Torr. He has successfully fitted several trims on Xenon's, Magni's etc, so I believe he is your man. Contact him on 083 335 4622 or gyrosa@corpdial.co.za for help.

Re: Namibia Fiasco

Well I for one has communicated with Hanno on a permit arrangement, and I was embarrassed by the Microlighters and Avcommers comments on this forum and I personally distance myself from it, as I know at some stage I am going to meet him and he is going to judge me based on the sh*t that has been flu...

Re: Registration letters on Gyros

Sorry Eric, Sitting in a Lodge in beautiful Omaruru, Namibia, so bear with me. My question still stands...are the agents responsible? So from my guy, to Butch, to Anthony, etc...we yes are the owners and the buck stops with us, but we are being lead by our noses by the very peops that bring gyros in...

Re: Registration letters on Gyros

So Oom Eric, In plain language does this mean..... 1. In the vertical stabilizers you need your full reg ZU - ABC in letters no smaller than 150 mm or is it 250 mm??? 2. On the belly of the Gyro the reg must be in letters no smaller than 300 mm? My question is this, I am not an expert that read the ...

Re: Namibie 2013

Beste plek daar Aba Guesthouse, dame is Ursula (ex Pr...
