Re: 3-Axis Training Material
Thanks guys for your advice. I have already got the Jim Davis PPL manual, which I was using to study for my PPL in 2006, of course I never completed the PPL :( however I will go through it again and refresh my memory. I will approach my local flight school and see if I can get some of the necessary ...

3-Axis Training Material
Hi Guys,
Anyone got an idea what manuals are required to study for the training on 3-axis microlights, and are they available online, if not where can they be purchased?
Thanks

Re: Import VAT on Microlight kits
Got my heart set on the Quicksilver 2S, still allot of homework to do before taking the financial plunge! One option was to include floats for water and ground operations, but seems that there are allot of obstacles in the way as opposed to the use of dams in SA for amphibious aircraft. Soooooo many...

Import VAT on Microlight kits
Hi Guys, This subject came up some time back, but I cannot find it again on the site. But for anyone who is interested, here is the response I received today from SARS regarding the VAT calculation on importing Microlight kits: In as far as customs related costs are concerned; only VAT is payable si...

AMPHIBIANS AND S.A WATERWAYS
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know the legalities of owning an amphibious microlight in RSA with regards to landings and take off's from SA waterways?
Is one allowed to land at public dams for recreational flying if his airplane is equipped with landing gear and floats?
etc etc

Re: Any Quicksilver Sport 2S owners on this forum?

Re: Fixed wing microlights
Thank you for your response Byron, I have made contact with the Quicksilver agent in SA, and have done some internet research on the 3axis models, particular the 2S. I am very keen on building the aerie from a kit, and it appears that the 2S is the latest model of the open cockpit design, it is also...

Hi Everyone. I have been an aviation enthusiast since I was a youngster, started my PPL on a Cessna 150, but decided… hang on, this is going to be a very expensive hobby having to hire and fly each month for fun! I am taking a look at Microlights now, and just want to get some questions answered. I ...
