I know it seems like nothing is happening but believe me there are a number of people working on these problems every day. Unfortunately, like Rudi says these things take time - they are regulations and in my dealings with CAA and CARCOM over the last 2 years I have had to learn to be patient ... St...

I am on a course this week so I have limited time unfortunately but briefly ... The Part 62 delay will happen (mostly because the CAA cannot implement it in time and anyway we all need time for training etc.) So, I would say until we get something in writing it looks like 99% sure to be the 1st June...

I don't know what is going on here ... I cannot fathom out the motivation for the posts. I am on a course this week so I must be brief: David, you and I had a chat on the phone last week and I told you we are talking to the CAA tomorrow about the implementation of Part 62 (licencing). You even wrote...

Hi Derik

You are right - we can certainly do some work on communicating with members. We are working on improving the situation.
By the way do you know about the new pilot licence regulations which will come into effect early next year?

Cheers

We have a meeting tonight (hosted by the EAA) with the heads of the affected sections of the Aero Club and representatives of the CAA about fixing what is not working in Part 24 and other Parts too. I will g...

DEAR DERIK I APPRECIATE YOUR VIEWS BUT WITH RESPECT I WOULD LIKE TO RESPOND AND ENLIGHTEN YOU. AS YOU CAN IMAGINE I TAKE A LOT OF FLACK ... AS THE CHAIRMAN OF MISASA AND AS THE OWNER OF THE ROTAX DISTRIBUTORSHIP SO I AM USED TO IT - THAT SAID I AM THE FIRST TO ADMIT IF I HAVE LET THE SIDE DOWN OR SC...

I attend every single Aero Club board meeting and up till last week I was one of 4 members of the Executive committee (with David Levy) who look after the admin and financial matters of the Aero Club. I speak to Neil de Lange who is the GM almost every day. Neil is a microl...
