Re: Solo Wings

It seems there are very few places that do spares for Microlights - I have a raptor and they don't make them anymore which worries me

Re: Logging hours correctly

The rules are simple with this when flying an aircraft rated for a single pilot that's all there can be is a single pilot - you can not share or log hours for 2 people flying. there will be a PIC and that is the only person that can log the hours. All Solo flights are logged a PIC for the student an...

Re: Logging hours correctly

"Flight time" is the time you are in control of the aircraft - so you sitting in it warming it and checking mags and and and - you might not be in the sky but you still in control of the aircraft during that time - that's how I see it Flight Time Typically refers to block time, i.e. chocks-away to c...

Re: Very Disappointed with the flying community

I happen to agree with Vatso here in a way. I do understand the learning side of these acident posts but do people actually learn from them? If I say that I got caught in a very bad wind gust then the forum will hammer me for flying in that weather and yet everyone will still go fly in it.... I hav...

Re: Very Disappointed with the flying community

@ Asterix I am not saying that the debate is not a good thing we are debating now and that is a good thing what I am saying is that there is a place for it and maybe it's not where we give our condolences. you are right trikes don't burn often there could be many reasons it could have happened and n...

Re: Very Disappointed with the flying community

I do appreciate the replies and do understand the learning part from an accident and discussion it brings What I don't want is my Son or wife to read about is an opinion from some one who knows nothing about the incident and or my skills be they good or bad! and how it could have been avoided if onl...

Re: Very Disappointed with the flying community

I think learning is a great idea One should respect the dead and not post on public forums information about an incident that is not accurate that is just not fair on the person that can no longer defend themselves and hope that the families do it on their behalf. It's sad to think we have no respec...

Very Disappointed with the flying community

Hi All, Sorry but I think this post needs to be done there was a microlight accident where 2 people lost there lives and there have been many people sending there condolences which I think is very nice. BUT there is the other side where people are fighting with each other and having comments on what...

Re: Inflight Refuelling

There is such an easy solution to this

use a boat jerry can run the fuel pipe to the front pack with a Fuel Siphon Pump they use to get fuel to the motor - the pilot can pump the fuel by hand until it runs into the main tank and gravity will take over that simple!

Re: Software Piracy...

I agree with the statement don't steal the software if you use it - I think a lot of people pirate software because there is a lot of rubbish out there as well which they have to pay for and no refund policy! I think if the software is used and liked one should pay for it or stop using it. I have pa...
