Bloodhound SSC - taking "Low Flying" to a new level!
My company (Cisco Systems) is one of the main sponsors of the next land speed world record attempt, named Bloodhound SSC ( http://www.bloodhoundssc.com ). This world record attempt is happening RIGHT HERE in South Africa, in the Northern Cape, at the Hakskeenpan (26°47'27.52"S 20°13'28.05"E), late 2...

Do Microlight Pilots use Checklists?
As someone who uses checklists in everyday life, including flying, I was recently astounded to hear a couple of experienced pilots "talk down checklists" when it came to microlighting! OK, so I can understand that in an open cockpit a "checklist" per se becomes somewhat difficult to manage, but what...

Re: Helmets for Trikes
Thanks everyone! I went with the Condor helmet from Air Magic! The one-size-fits-all was a big swinger! I ordered two, with both visor options (tinted and plain), so really looking forward to my parcel from KZN!!! Thanks Paul (Zulu1) for the great service.

Helmets for Trikes
Can anyone advise on suppliers of trike helmets (with visors) in South Africa?
I am aware of Buzzcom but wanted to review other options before making a decision.
Many thanks,
John

Re: GoPro Motorsports or Helmet HERO?
Greetings Ant! I use the GoPro2 HD on the wingtip, which, with the 170 fisheye lens gives a great view of your flight. In the attached picture the camera had rotated down slightly, something I have now corrected. I also fly with a set of goggles (don't have the name right now) which has a HD cam mou...
